The French Inland Island Award DIFI is destinated to encourage and reward
the traffic amateur radio with inland islands. It is accessible to all
amateur radio licensees as well as to SWLs.
Contacts with inland islands are valid after October 1st, 1996.
The DIFI is delivered in 3 modes: CW, PHONE or MIXED. It is necessary to
have contacted (or heard) at least 25 different stations situated on french
islands of at least 5 departments.
Endorsements are granted by group of 50 islands and by slice of 5 department.
(Example: 75 islands in 10 departments, 125 islands in 15 departments, etc.)
Contacts will have to be proved with QSL cards.
The required official application form for DIFI, as well as endorsements
is available when send with a SASE from its director:

Inland islands have a reference number that is different from maritime
islands. The reference number is composed from left to right of the French
department number (like 07, 44, etc) in which the island is situated.
Next is a sequence number followed by the letter R for river or L for lake
(example: 07 011 R)
One considers inland islands as being surrounded by fresh water.
The director of the DIFI reserves the right to refuse the validity of an
activity if it's done on an island with forbidden access.
Only the director has the right to assign a reference number to a new island
and a request has to be made by the operator who does the activity.
To to be valid, an inland island must have an official name in the commune
to which it belongs. The name of the lake or river as well as the
corresponding department have to be communicated.
The QSL card must indicate clearly the name of the island, that of the
river or lake, the department number as well as the reference assigned by
the director.
It is recommended to respect the Old Man spirit and a perfect courtesy
during the contacts.
Failure to these rules may result in the disqualification of the caller.

Cette fois je vous propose de decouvrir, comme promis,
le Diplome des iles Francaises Interieures (DIFI) sponsorise par le
Clipperton DX Club, ainsi que la suite de la liste des iles referencees
au programme DIFM.
Ceux qui travaillent leur programme IOTA prendront note de leurs classements
francais et mondial.
Le DIFI
Sponsorise par le Clipperton DX Club, le Diplome des Iles
Francaises Interieures (DIFI) est destine a encourager et recompenser
le trafic radioamateur avec les iler interieures.
Il est accessible aux radioamateurs licencies ainsi qu'aux SWL.
Le DIFI a un caractere international. Tout radioamateur ou ecouteur (SWL)
quel que soit son pays, peut en faire la demande.
Les contacts avec les iles interieures devront avoir ete realises apres le
ler octobre1996.
Le DIFI est delivre dans les trois modes CW, Phone ou Mixte. II faut avoir contacte
(ou entendu) au moins 25 stations differentes situees sur des iles francaises d'au moins
5 departements. Les principales bandes utilisees sont : 3.5. 7. 14 et 21 MHZ.
Des endossements sont accordes par groupe de 50 iles et tranche de 5 departements.
(Exemple : 75 iles dans 10 departements; 125 iles dans 15 departements; 175 iles dans
20 departements, etc.).
Les contacts devront etre justifies par carte QSL. Les demandes de diplome doivent
d'ailleurs contenir les cartes originales sans taches ni ratures,
accompagnees d'une liste recapitulative des contacts effectues.
Le formulaire officiel necessaire a la demande du DIFI, ainsi que les endossements,
est disponible aupres de son manager:

Joindre une ETSA pour tout renseignement.
Les iles interieures ont une classification et une reference differentes des
iles maritimes.
La reference dependra notamment du departement ou se situe I'ile.
La reference sera suivie d'un numero d'ordre, puis d'une lettre,
a savoir R pour riviere ou fleuve, et L pour lac.
On considerera les iles interieures comme etant entierement entourees d'eau douce.
Bien entendu, le manager du DIFI se reserve le droit de refuser la validite d'une
expedition si celle ci est effectuee sur une ile interdite d'acces.
Seul le manager a pouvoir de decision sur la reference des iles et la demande doit lui
etre faite par I'OM qui entreprend I'expedition.
Pour etre valable, une ile interieure doit avoir un nom officiel dans la commune dont
elle depend. En outre, le nom du lac, de la riviere ou du fleuve,ainsi que le
departement correspondant doivent etre communiques.
Les contacts realises a partir de stations mobiles (/M) ou portables (IF)
seront considerees valables si ces stations sont pourvues d'une licence officielle.
Les cartes QSL devronl indiquer clairement le nom de I'ile, celui du fleuve,
de la riviere ou du lac.
Le numero du departement ainsi que la reference attribuee par le manager.
II est bien entendu recommande de respecter un esprit sportif et une parfaite courtoisie
au cours des contacts.
Toute defaillance a cette regle entrainerait la disqualification du demandeur.
Les decisions du manager sont a cet effet definitives et sans appel.
Quant au prix du DIFI, il faut compter 220 F pour recevoir la plaque, et 10 F par endossement.
Le reglement pourra etre modifie afin d'y apporter des ameliorations dans l'interet du programme.

Das Diplom der franzosischen Inlandinseln soll die Kommunikation zwischen
Funkamateuren und Funkamateuren auf Inlandinseln ermutigen und belohnen.
Das Diplom kann von allen Funkamateuren und SWLs beantragt werden.
Verbindungen mit Inlandinseln gelten nur nach dem 1. Oktober 1996.
Das DIFI wird in 3 Betriebsarten ausgestellt: CW, PHONE oder MIXED. Es müssen
mindestens 25 verschiedene Stationen auf Inlandinseln aus mindestens 5
Distrikten gearbeitet (oder gehort) werden.
Sticker gibt es fr Gruppen von 50 Inseln und 5 weiteren Distrikten.
(z.B. 75 Inseln in 10 Distrikten, 125 Inseln in 15 Distrikten, usw)
Verbindungen mssen durch QSL Karten belegt werden.
Der benotigte offizielle DIFI Antrag sowie Sticker konnen beim Direktor

Inlandinseln haben eine Referenznummer die sich von denen maritimer Inseln
unterscheidet. Die Referenznummer setzt sich wie folgt von links nach rechts
zusammen: Die Distriktsnummer (z.B. 07, 44, usw) in welcher die Insel sich
befindet. Danach folgt eine Inselseriennummer gefolgt von den Buchstaben
R fr Fluá oder L fr See. Inlandinseln kenzeichnen sich dadurch, daá sie
von Frischwasser umgeben sind.
(z.B.: 07 011 R)
Der Direktor des DIFI beh„lt sich das Recht vor, die Aktivierung einer Insel
nicht anzuerkennen, falls fr diese Insel kein Zutritt besteht.
Nur der Direktor hat das Recht eine Referenznummer fr eine neue Insel
zuzuweisen. Der Antrag muá von dem Operator gestellt werden, der die
Aktivit„t durchfhrt.
Um goltig zu sein, muá die Inlandinsel einen offiziellen Namen in der
Gemeinde haben, zu der sie gehort. Der Name des Sees oder des Fluáes sowie
die Nummer des Distrikts mossen angegeben werden.
Die QSL Karte muá deutlich sichtbar den Namen der Insel, des Fluáes oder
Sees, der Distriktsnummer sowie die Referenznummer tragen.
Es wird erwartet, daá der Ham Spirit w„hrend den Verbindungen beachtet wird.
Falls diese Regeln nicht eingehalten werden, kann die anrufende Station
disqualifiziert werden.
